What do you think? On CRC the Atlas are 725mm which sounds good compared to the massive 785mm so considering them or the V1. Fancy something different to black but not sure about coloured bars!
I've just put some 785mm atlas on my 575 with an 80mm stem feels great, still haven't tackled any narrow single track and frankly now unlikely too!
The VI, IMO, is a very nice bar. Feels right.
745 V1's are mahoosive enough for me... I *heart* them very much 🙄
I just ordered a 745mm V1.
Thought about a green Atlas, but went for tasteful silver in the end and I'm glad I did.
Can't wait to get it on the Froggy and start clipping trees.
I have both, one on each of my bikes. The atlas are blue and look nice, both steer adequately. I cut the atlas down as they where too wide to fit between trees.
Tempted by the orange or purple. Are they all 785mm and not the 725mm claimed by CRC?

Is there not FR and AM models in different widths?
MRanger - I have a very clean set of 745mm (ahem, 'uncut') low rise (19mm) 31.8mm V1s in the garage. Used for maybe two months on the Surrey Hills. Yours for £30 posted.
Ive ordered some new bars that are 800mm ! Even double track will feel narrow soon.
geetee - ill keep that in mind but second hand bars worry me a little.
Yep fair enough. For that reason I would happily refund after your taken delivery if you wern't happy but I only mention this for reference, not to try and push the issue any further.
I'd have bitten your arm off for that bar if I hadn't just ordered one exactly the same Geetee.
How did you find them for clearance riding in Surrey Hills btw?
haha - the Renthal Fatbar is the reason I am selling the Sunlines.
Chakaping, bar width is one of those very personal things. I don't like anything narrower than 750mm (can't tell the difference between 745mm and 750mm BTW!)
There are a couple of sections of trail where I have to be either really careful how I go for fear of clipping my bars, or else I have to 'shimmy' the bars through the gap. In one case, I simply ride around the tree as it's a jump and the clearance either side is only about 10mm. But it really is only about four or five places on the whole area where it's an issue.
I can't think of one instance where the width was so problematic that it caused someone else to be impeded by my having to slow down. And if you think about it, there are more places on World Cup level courses where a wide bar might be more likely to cause problems and these days most DH racers are using upwards of 710mm.
geetee1972 - I may be interested in the Sunline V1's, any pictures you could e-mail?
I have had both, just swapped the atlas FR for the V1's. The atlas FR make everything very stable at speed but the low rise makes it hard to get any pop from the front. I have just put 745mm V1's on my bike with 38mm rise, the front is a lot easier to lift and the narrower width makes it corner better.
For UK riding I reckon 785mm is too wide, if you are doing flat out stuff in the alps then it would be ok. Also depends what bike you are putting it on, they were designed for long travel bikes to keep the front end down, I found it kept the front end planted to the trail but at the expense of being able to lift the front.
I would go for the V1's out of choice, either the 19mm rise or 38mm
