Whaddya think?

[IMG] [/IMG]

First build.

Took it for a shakedown blast around Delamere on Sunday - feels lovely and stable and god it flies. Nothing fell off/ broke which is a bonus and overall really happy with it. Most of the bit were sourced from the classifieds on here with a few new bits thrown in when funds allowed.

Now, i'm in two minds about the pedals and saddle though. For the pedals not sure if i should go for good old black, white (to match the frame) or red (to match the hubs end caps etc). Any thoughts???

Likewise the saddle (white to match bars??) and not 100% convinced on the white bars either.

Critique away (i know i need to put the dishes away)

Looks like a cracking ride! Shirley this kinda machine needs a dropper post, and of course a sadly of some description (sdg for me)? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I would go for red pedals Black are dull, white are painted to all paint will flake off quickly and they look like shit, so for for red anodized. Job done!

Now you got me thinking Kev - never really seen the appeal but never ridden with one, maybe i just need to get with the programme

Anybody got any experience with them Superstar Nanotechs? Is the paint shite?

Your probably right mate - tbh the frame and fork were kind of an impulse buy having never ridder a 29er ๐Ÿ˜ณ and then built up from there. Thank god i like it othewise it would have been a (fairly) expensive mistake ๐Ÿ˜†

Thanks Cookie - forks came with the frame off here. They are 120mm Marz 44's and can be increased to 140mm

Stu - not sure on the Fleegles, already think i need something a tad wider already

I like swept bars on my rigid bikes but IMO this kind of bike benefits from a wide straighter bar.

is it made from girders?

No. It's stiffer than girders. It's box section with internal ribs to stiffen it up. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
