Dint want to go the whole hog, just need a new crank, will an xtr double work with a 9spd chain or is the spacing too tight between rings?
I know 10spd chain won't work with 9spd cassettes.

In short, yes. Been running mine for 6 months without issues 🙂

I can't image the spacing between front rings is the same as a 10 speed cassette so it should work fine.

Yup, just like 10spd cranks/chainrings that will work with 11spd.
