OK, so its not good to brag/show off/be unimaginably smug etc etc, but I finally got my new bike finished and out on the trails today and so far so good!

I'm a proper XC Jayboy (never put my seat down ever etc etc), so wanted something light, fast, stiff, yet suitable for 24hr efforts. My beloved 04 S-Works Epic had found a new home, which left a space in the garage.

Cue drumroll:

These things are rarer than Rocking Horse poo at the minute, so unlikely to be playing trail snap for a while yet!

She rides like a dream, and is silly fast. Unlike my legs, which are still in post-winter blobby mode.

Good excuse to get out and hammer the trails a bit now then!

Just hope she's as quick, and as durable, as the Epic....

Bike nice, mudguard less so. Look at the state of that garden etc. etc. etc.

Edge of that flowerbed needs tidying up, and you need to sort that green stuff on the bottom of your fence.

The tyres are Houffalize (old skool Specialized mud tyres), but I love them (I know they shouldn't really be on a Trek), but they're fast, grippy enough, and great when you do hit a patch of mud or some rooty action.
