I believe he has lost the only bolt that really holds the lowers on. The other if you tighten makes the U-turn screw down to shorten the forks, so I tightened up firm when the forks were fully shortened.
Anybody know what bolt it is? M5 or 6?
I have searched for one on CRC could not find.

what forks?
I'd try tftuned or mojo as appropriate.
