Nesscliffe Country Park, is it worth a quick visit?
Just had a look at an OS map and there seem to be a few bridleways etc.
Yes it's not bad, especially if you include the Cliffe which is sandy and not as muddy as Nescliffe itself. Pretty easy to find your way around, some big steep stuff if you know where to look. Best on a mid-week night ride than a Saturday morning, when there will be lots of dog walkers.
yes - one of my faves - ace night riding
Cheers, I am popping over on Sunday morning for a look.
Yes if your a climber who climbs E3 or higher, If your a biker then not really worth the effort imo.
Its only 15 mins from me, so I will pop over have a look around...
Ah, if its close then understandable, I live 40 minutes away, I go there for climbing, but for biking theirs, Eastridge, the Mynd, Hopton, Bringewood etc etc....
Haughmond hill just up the road isn't too bad if your local
My other half lives in Shrewsbury and I was looking for something on the doorstep, without having the need to load up car and travel etc
I have done Haughmond Hill to death, dont get me wrong its got some decent stuff, but I was just looking for a change.
I got the OS map out and saw Nesscliffe, so I just thought I would see if it was worth a visit, its only about 10 miles away...
Cheers.
stuff round Grinshill as well - but not mega amounts of stuff..
sort of ok to add into a longer road ride out from Shrewsbury... after doing Haughmond
Though many years since I have been out there on a bike.
Try Eastridge, Only just a few miles out of Shrewsbury ish ๐
An Excellent venue
The last time I was at Eastridge (about 9 months ago) there were parts of trails that were taped off and being built.
I guess these would be open now?
All trails are open, and in good nick for the time of year. I went last week.
Dont know what side of Shrews you are in, but Eastridge could be quicker to ride too than Nesscliffe. Much better as well (not that Ive ridden at Nesscliffe, but know it well from climbing).
On the side of Herongate, I will have to get the map out and pick a route.
Cool only mile or so more than going Nescliffe then, so defo go for Eastridge over Ness, .
