Hi, im new to this forum, but i would like some help identifying a new fram i purchased off ebay. The seller did not know who the maker was, and i need to know to get a new mech hanger.

looks like an old carerra or merida

by the looks of it probably uses a fairly standard hanger like a kona hanger f or a marin drop 04

best to take it to your local bike shop and they can find something to fit

Interesting chainstays!! Going by the look of the shock, I'm sorry to inform you that this looks likely to be a generic cheapy, styled a bit like a Kona, albeit with a horst pivot.

Surely those chainstays are stuffed, so maybe best to blag a refund.

thanks for getting the photo on here!!!

i took it to my local shop today and they said to post it on here as they couldnt recognise the frame, and said they only had the mainstream brands in stock so didnt spend long looking unfortunately.

The chainstays are fine, must be the light that makes it look busted

Almost every shop deals with madison who do wheels manufacturing and they do a mech hanger for almost every frame.

90% of all dropouts welded etc into frames are generic so allot of mech hangers can fit 4/5 different frames.
