Halfords have got sales on boardmans in the transiton period on 2010/2011. Best deal is 679.99 for the team, is it better to buy the cheaper 'comp'. Or are there any better alternatives from other makes?
Quite urgent at the moment as i'm not sure when the sales end...? 😕

chrisjnr. Ride it, if you like it buy it, forget the bike snobs. Boardman bikes seem to get good reviews from both mags and those on here that have them. Depends where you live have a look around for something else in your budget range and compare. But always test ride before buying.
imo a good frame that fits and good forks which are the expensive bits are worth having over high end groupsets which are easier replaced when they wear out

There are no warranties on 2nd hand bikes and I cannot be bothered sorting other peoples cast off problems 🙄
