I have a new neutrino components 30t oval m7000/8000 that I can post 1st class tomorrow for £20 in the unlikely event that's any use- PM if interested.

it is the symmetrical version not the xt and slx specific ring

it is needed asap and getting it delivered from any where wouldn't be until the 4th as everyone is closed down

I have a asymmetrical slx ring from a damaged crank which is 96mm as well

two of the bolt holes line up could I run it with just two bolts? it would probably come loose quick

I think you may be right! Certainly would produce some unexpected ovality...

Which crank is it going on?

it's going on a 3×10 deore crankset

I assumed it was 104 and ordered a chain ring to fit but got a shock when I tried to install it

Coming loose is ok in some sense- you just tighten them up. The problem is a strong rider could probably strip the threads if there are only 2 bolts. I don't think I'd do it.

You could try ringing them in the morning? Standards (or lack of them) suck big time!

I'll be ringing them and my other lbs that were closed today but are open till dinner tomorrow like Westbrook

it seems like a pointless standard too as I can't see any advantage over 104 on a triple

I have an unused 96bcd 36t oval n/w in North Leeds, might be a bit far for you

Think laterally and borrow a full chainset instead.

if it's 24m on axle it'll work with shimano bb won't it?

Newcastle might be a bit far though I will send you a pm

no luck at both shops when I rang up so borrowing/buying a new crankset might be only option
