Well, sort of new as I've been collecting the parts for this since last summer. Hadn't intended to but it became a PSA build where I waited for decent deals to be posted up on here before buying and that's why there are a few colours going on, although I think it just about pulls it off especially as I'm a purple fan since 1992!

There are a few tweaks required and I expect the bar, stem and rotors will be changed at some point. Also finding the Deore brakes make it difficult to position the gear lever where I want it so it's a work in progress.

Only things that are not brand new are the SPD's, tubeless valves and front disc. The parts sourced via PSA were the frame, forks, Hope wheels, GX Eagle cassette, Deore 4 pots, Schwalbe tyres, XT crank and rear mech, SLX shifter and chain, + Death Grips. Other parts include Hope headset and Brand X dropper so I'm very happy that the total cost was a touch over £1650. Try buying off the peg with this spec for close to that!

You're a Super Soft Magic Mary away from having your anodizing matching your tyre colours

Holy random placed airbrick halfway up the wall..

There's something very right about how those Pace frames look.

The RC627 does not get the love it deserves. That's a beautiful creation.
I have one in blue, but I'm not posting as it's a bit of a mixed back components wise.
I need better forks (could only afford Sektors when I built it) and nicer bars and stem, and a better set of wheels.

However, it rides so well, whether hooning jumps or slogging miles. The geometry is spot on for me.

Blue ano + purple ano = No.

Spacers have to go.

But luckily the charming setting distracts the eye.

Nice bike tho, keep eyeing the 529 myself

Thanks all. If anyone wants to watch the kids for a few hours I'll take some more artistic shots away from home! Beggars can't be choosers when it comes to bargain ano stuff but being a retro fan I'm more than comfortable with it.

First proper ride tomorrow but it feels nice so far. Spacers will stay for now so I can work out the best set up before hacking too much steerer. Thinking the newer style Hans Damf may be overkill but we'll see as this will get most use in poor weather. Looking forward to having a proper HT again 🙂

I have a 529 and it’s a sodding lovely bike.  Still tweaking the set up, recently put some higher rise bars on and initial impressions are good.  That’s an amazing price for the whole build on your 627, good job!
