[Closed] Narrowest tyres/highest pressure on Hope Tech XC's?

I'm wondering if I can set up a set of Hope Tech XC wheels with 32mm tyres

It'd be tubeless, with I guess 75 psi if I was mostly heading out on the roads, lower if on easy bridleways

They're lighter than my current road rims (Mavic Open Pro's) and wider, so I like the idea...

What could/will go wrong?

You'd be exposing the rims?

When I contacted Hope about the max. pressure on my XC wheels I was quoted 60psi regardless of whether they were tubeless or tubed.

In terms of width, I was quoted 1.5" (38) to 2.3".

I tried doing the same on those Hope Tech XC rims. I ran Schwalbe G-Ones at 50psi. The rear kept loosing tension frequently. Local wheel builder advised the spokes Hope used could not cope with the higher tubeless pressures.

I ended up having the wheel rebuilt in the end.

When I posted about this previously, a few on here were adamant that this can't happen.

IME there's little benefit in inflating the likes of a tubeless 40mm G-One beyond 50psi - worth experimenting.

It was the rear 35mm going to 50psi for road rides. I have a 40mm on the front which never went beyond 40psi. I never experienced the same issue with the front.

it just seemed to be the narrower tyre at the slightly higher pressure causing the issues.
