Despite all the threads about what chamois cream to use and how often to shave your legs, I'm sure there must still be some hardcore gnarpoonists lurking in these boards with AM/DH bikes that do uplift days regularly.
Have many of you guys ridden at Nant Gwrtheyrn at all? I've been there loads and it ranks as my number 1 downhill track of all time right now, it might be because I'm local and I've just about got my head round the lines and tech sections but it's got to rank up there with one of the best places I've ridden on a big bike. The new uplift is dialled there now with minibus and Burtech style trailer, the turnaround is really quick and as a result you can get more runs than your arms can cope with which is a rarity!

Just thought I'd see if anyone else had been and what you thought of it? There's a lot of work going into track maintenance and developing new lines there at the moment so I'm pretty keen to see what the new track ends up like.

I've been, thought it was really good. The uplift is quick and efficient and the track is a lot of fun. Reminded me a bit of Hamsterley, but shorter and steeper.

Of the places I've ridden I'd say Fort William, Glen Coe and Hamsterley are marginally better days out, first too are more of a challenge, Hamsterley has a lot more tracks to play with.

Superb track and an amazing location, a really challenging tack, takes a bit of time to learn.
Good to hear that simply downhill are still running uplifts.
must make an effort to go soon.
