I've finally got the bike how I want it, and it rides beautifully. It may have old fashioned 26" wheels, but I don't care!
The whole 1X10 thing works a treat and a dropper post certainly adds something. The bike's a mix of parts I already had and others I bought. It weighs in at 27lbs and climbs and descends well.
Main components are:
Advanced carbon frame
Easton carbon bars
XT brakes
Giant dropper post
Hope Pro 2 Evo with Flow Exs running tubeless
1X10 drivetrain consisting of XT cranks and pedals, XT cassette with T-Rex, XT chain and Zee FR mech
Fox FIT RLC Kashima 140s
Fox RP23 Kashima shock
What do you reckon?
All the best,
Dom
I assume you have VERY long legs?
I don't think the post is that high is it scotroutes? Just looks tall because of the extended seatpost and dropped tt. Looks good to me.
I'm only 5'10"! The post is at its highest there for fire roads etc and is fine for me. When dropped it goes nice and low.
Looks lovely apart from the retro sized wheels ๐
Yes, they are a bit on the small size.
Top tube is very low. I guess that's what's throwing me.
Liking the black and white finish though.
Looks great - I'd have flats, a much shorter stem and "alternative" forks but otherwise it's cool.
27lb is pretty good too.
Best get those weeds attended to or they'll cath you out.
Gissago Mr.
