Hey all,

Ive had this since early January, I was waiting for it since August! Charge Plug in medium.

Ive changed a few bits and pieces. I replaced the original drop stem with a 90mm EA70, the brake levers to Cane Creek bar end jobbies. Black tape and black saddle, Thomson post and Salsa seatclamp.

Ive gone to SPD's too as the shoes are a bit more practical than roadie shoes. Soon to have a pair of (2nd hand) XTR SPD's and a pair of carbon forks, making it a little comfier and saving about a pound in the process. Also thinking of a carbon seatpost but these seem mega pricey for a decent and understated one. Rough weight at the moment is about 21.5lb's.

Its not high end bike porn, but for reliable commuting duties its excellent! Im trying to keep it slightly subtle and subdued so the thieves wont be so interested.

Doug

P.S. sorry about the crap decor, its a student house.

Ive been thinking about that! Where I live is pretty hilly (Plymouth) so it would be an interesting lesson. Not if I crash but more when I crash.

It looks frightening with the brake levers stuck way way out in front like that. I bet it feels ok though. Its understated & that to me is spot on. I'm planning to do an understated re-spray on THIS when I get time.

They look scary but its actually quite comfortable as your hands rest on the bars. Its also not too bad for the back, and makes much more sense than moving your hand position all the time.

Takisawa2, bike looks nice. My mate resprayed his dads old frame bright green and pimped it out with various purple and white bits. Came out with:

your back brakes on the wrong way round. braking will pull on the bolt rather than push into the frame.
