Yes it's aluminum but it's super, super stiff and so reponsive. Maiden voyage today at ilton circuit. It feels far far better than my planet x (then again think this is due to the planet x being too small for me)

got some 50mm carbon tubs are the way.

(fork length needs cutting and i want a 0 degree rise stem). Well chuffed with it

Nice.
Here's mine. had it weeks now and still not even been around the block on it. First race is May 8th.
I've gone tubeless, the Giants are proper tubeless ready.

Minging tyres don't help, but overall tidy. Nowt wrong with alu, enjoy it!

Edit - been using some Hutchison atoms on some ultegra wheels tubeless on the winter bike, trouble free but I can say I can tell the difference to running the same wheels with tubes.

I am a tubeless convert, as comfy as tubs without the puncture hassle.

Alphas are light too.

These replacing or replaced by oval rings, then ?

Maybe I'll try both and achieve over 10mph average

oval rings are the more primative version to achieve the same sort of thing. Lots of TT chaps I know swear by the cranks. I love the rings, have rotor Q and goldtec ellipticals on all my bikes

Add some of these, and you should be unbeatable

IanM - I'm sure the UCI banned them because they actually caused lift-off in some circumstances

(then again, maybe you're right - I still can be a contender)

... and, back to the OP - "looks" (yeh, I know) stiff allright, I reckon it'd prob kill me

tyres are green as they came off the planet x where i had a green theme going on.

They worked for Ian Cammish, who was pretty fast (and still is)

i thought i recognised your crew! Very windy towards the end! i did far too much work on the front and chasing down breaks. VC got 1st in the 4ths, 4th in the 3/4 and 4th in the e/1/2

Those L shaped cranks appear to use two sides of a triangle to place the pedal in exactly the same position as it would be if at the end of the hypotenuse. Does the long part of the L pushing on the short part claim an element of leverage advantage? Seems weird as the force still starts at the pedal and ends up at the BB spindle.

Anyone got a link explaining why L shaped cranks work?

They don't. Elementary physics - the pedal and the bb axle are in exactly the same position to each other whatever the shape of the metal joining them.

Nice Tricky!

What bars are those? They seem a very shallow drop.

non colour coded pedals tut tut

So for a 6.3ft fat bloke is a 58cm going to be big enough?

hows it differ from the SL Pro? (I'm currently thinking Cervelo S1 (ali frame)

differs loads (to me) to the sl pro. Not sure if most of this is due to fit but in comparison the sl pro is flexy. I always thought it was my wheels that were the fault. When I used to get out of the saddle to sprint i could feel the whole front end flexing around. When I put the wheels on this frame the front end is extremely stiff.

I'd say the sl pro would be more comfortable over longer distances.

@jonjonjon3. I think it's a brand x alloy frame with 12k weave. I'm so surprised how light and balanced it feels. Had it on scales at just under 18lbs

I find some crits a bit boring to be honest. I use them for training a lot of the time. The one's i've done tend to be less about tactics and you don't get as much bunch organisation as you do in a road race.

Plus ilton is very wide so less accelerations out of corners

Was so comfortable on my 60 mile test ride it seemed rude not to!
