My local engineer machine me up some new bits for my 5.5 EVP upper linkage in an attempt to sort out the lose feel and excessive twist when pedalling hard.
He machined up some new nuts with a much snugger fit into the bearings.
He also reholed and collared the linkage plate as a result of one of the holes having been damaged by the threads from the linkage bolt. The collared holes are again a much tighter fit on the 6mm bolt. And finally he has given me a new through bolt that does not have such a long thread so as to minimise damage to the hole.
Fingers crossed this will sort out the play issue. If it does, then I will let you know as he may be up for machining up some kits. The best bit is that he only charged me £20. Intense wanted ~ £20 for one of their sloppy fitting outer nuts!
