25lbs, that must have some uber light finishing kit on it.

Nice looking bike though.

Its taken nearly 6 months from ordering the frame, and collecting the parts to finally getting it finished happy days, cant wait to hit the trails on it.
running it 1 x 10 36-11 out back and a 32 up front.

Drive train mainly XTR 980 , Hope Hoops with Crests, Maxxis Ikons

running tubless, bars are V1 745's ๐Ÿ˜€

so excited like a kid at Christmas

Very nice, tho you'll be moving to 2x10 soon. I spend a lot more time in the big ring on mine than i did on the donor 26er. Get the bars lower if you can as well, i know its 'personal preference' but i doubt you run your bars that high on a 26er and the spearfish really comes alive with the bars same height or lower than the saddle (at least in my experience, prob a result of more weight on the front where there is more travel).

Stato yes front end is much too high, will be going out with a few spacers in my pocket I think it will end up slammed down with a 5mm spacer, feels very nice round my yard ๐Ÿ˜€
I may move up at the front ring to a 34 if it seems to spin out, most of my rides seem to be uphill where I live in N.Wales ๐Ÿ˜€

Looks great 8)

Let us know how it rides. Also interested in the performance of Maxxis Ikons if you get a chance to write a quick review.

Had an official weigh in 25.9lbs so my bathroom scales are out and I'm fatter than I thought ๐Ÿ˜€

Only had a quick ride round Llandegla so mix of dry trails and wet patches.
First thing that struck me is how normal the bike felt to ride , turned in quick not slow in the slightest, I am running a 50mm Thomson stem and 745 V1 bars so this maybe helping , could feel the longer chainstays not as easy to pop the front end at slower speeds but once upto normal speed front end could be un weighted quite easily, something I will proably just adjust to, never ridden a 29er before so its been a leap of faith...
Rear end with the RP23 Kashima shock felt very plush and much more travel than the 80mm didn't bother with the pro pedal , climbed the first hill in 8th gear quite comfortably then run most of the rest of the trail in 10th 32 upfront 36-11 rear so may think of getting a 34 upfront, my Butcher is 36 upfront and 36-11 rear so maybe a 34 will be about the same, not sure see how it goes on a proper ride.
The frame felt stiff and no flex when standing up to climb.

The one thing I did feel is the RS Reba's were perhaps a bit firm and seem to ramp up quite quickly before getting near full travel, they are the RL so maybe need to speak to someone who knows, 20mm maxle felt stiff and thinking about it the front end felt solid and tracked very well. 95Kg in my gear so not a light weight.
Maxxis Ikon tyres felt great plenty of grip seem to rail the corners nicley I was pushing into some of the corners quite hard as my wife txt me she had lost her purse and cards etc which then prompted me to get back ASAP the bike flies , ๐Ÿ˜€ on all the level parts I was spinning out, the speed carried by the bigger wheels seem to keep the momentum up easier, I felt you have to wind the speed up, were a 26 you stomp and go not sure, need stronger legs probably..
So Overall quite a nice suprise , frame seems to be great value and rides great so far, Hope Hoops have that lovely click and with the Crests seem to be a good weight and certainly didn't feel flexy, need to find some more challenging trails..
Now how to lose some weight try and get to 25lb, or just lose a pound of my body ๐Ÿ˜€

Nice.Mine weighs about the same as that, just under 26lb. Agree about the front end being high. I'm running mine with a 6deg negative rise stem no spacers and flat bars and it rides great. Enjoy
