Thanks to all the people on the forum who's brains i've picked, your old posts have helped me loads.

I popped into Stif for some new shorts before going away for the weekend a couple of month ago, by chance i had a go on a Heckler, I decided not to buy some shorts and to start saving for a new frame.
I was pretty unsure about selling my Pitch but im now very happy with my choice.
today i got all the teething issues sorted with the help of Stu at Dales Bike Center and and im 100% good to go..

Looks lie
Ke a sunline v1 bar and lizard skins grips.

Great bike, I'd consider switching your reverb lever to the other side and running it upside down if you can fit it around your shifter, keeps it out of harms way in a crash. (might not work, I run a single ring up front so it's a lot easier)

I've had the reverb a while and not damaged it yet, i tried it on the left but find it interferes with my braking, if i properly break it i will swap the new one over for good tho.

Nice, i test rode a Butcher and it felt good, i was after a bike that emulated my single pivot trials bike (Scorpa) and the Hecker was just that bit more lively.
Do you get free bearings for life with the Butcher?

Only annoying thing about the bike is you cant use the bottle opener with an SRAM mech

Yep, free bearings for life to the original buyer of the bike/frame, Jungle/Stif.
Look into it im sure its with all SC bikes not just the Heckler.

There always seems to be loads of cables/hoses going on with Hecklers

yes - 2 gear and 2 brake!! Most heckler owners want bike sthat are functional sio run a front mech and shifters rather than trying to be fashionable and running a single ring!!

yes - 2 gear and 2 brake!!

yeah I know that, mine has just the same number ๐Ÿ™„ + the odd uppy, downy post

What I mean is they seem to follow their own lines rather than that of the bike so they are very visible
I suppose the silver braided hoses in the OP on a black bike make them more visible too on that one
When I look at Hecklers, my eyes seem drawn to the cables rather than the bike
Doesn't detract from the bike at all, I just wish they'd tidy themselves up a bit ๐Ÿ™‚

Godzilla - I have a Pitch, but am Heckler curious. What made you swap? Why is the Heckler better than the Pitch and what sort of riding do you do?

Is the suspension more active being single pivot?

Another one here.
The Mrs's not mine. Though i have had an original (pre superlight) Heckler and the slightly older version of this.

The elastic band was on there to apply the brake while its in my Berlingo.
The Heckler isnt realy any better than the pitch, i realy loved it. This is my trials bike ive, it's a single pivot, ive tried other trials bikes bikes the suspension on this one suits me, the Heckler has the closest geometry to this bike and i just felt at home, i was supprised as i was sure i would end up with an O5.

I like that a lot! Currently considering a new 5' or a Heckler and this could have swayed me.......
