Did my first proper road bike ride yesterday - about 70 hard & hilly miles up and around Clee Hill. First ride out on my new Planet X SL....
I have commuted for about 4 years on a fixed road bike - and I feared that proper road biking would feel just like the commute. How wrong I was...it was ace. Love the feeling of dragging up a climb on your last legs, seeing the road sweep away down the hill in front of you...click click and you're off again.
Even wore lycra. It was brilliant.

As a long term cycle commuter, I think that's spot on. Glad you you had a blast! ๐
