Learnt to ride stuff I'd never had done before, with confidence and the desire to do it even more (big drops to fast berms, 6ft double).
Taught by someone who really, really knows his stuff AND EXPLAINS WHY doing something a certain way is good. Real physics in play, real reasons that make sense and can be demonstrated and felt by yourself.
Lets me learn my best way - keep trying, less talking and feeling whats right.
I now want to ride more, more MORE!
Great facility (doesn't seem that way at first) for teaching all levels

Jedi just chuffin' LOVES riding bikes and it shows - we did a 3 man train a few times at the end, down the practise trail and he was giggling like an idiot - great times! That's what it's all about really.

Long way to travel (specific to me I suppose - 400 mile round trip)
Expensive (a real stretch for me), but the £120 it cost me (2-1) I can't think of anything else, even double the price that would help your technical ability and more importantly your [b]enjoyment of riding[/b] more.
I did think I would have liked to do a bit more on the day, would have liked more specific training on jumps and drops BUT I think I might have struggled with just doing that for the whole session - needed the overall skills improvement first. Might go back one day for a more specific session to build on this one.
No tea or cake (it was cold)

TBH the videos can make that jump look a bit naff, but it seems massive in real life.

Yeah. WAAAAAAAY too much speed. It was either bail or go into orbit!
My left heel hurts now. I must have rattled it on the bike. Pads were a good idea though.

Well I'll be visiting jedi on valentines day.... can't wait... even brought the full sus out of hibernation a good 3 months early this weekend to try and get back up to speed.

Ah the lever to wrist thing lol all my bikes are set up like this now following a Jedi session!! Had a few your levers are set up wrong comments but it just feels so so right!!!
Jedi is an amazing teacher and a properly nice bloke ( often people that good at anything can be a bit of a nob, but he is just so chilled and buzzing to pass on what he knows) I am looking forward to another session this year!

I had a revisit day with Jedi at Herts Shore yesterday - it was as awesome as the first time I met him at Woburn.
Like the OP I would have loved to have done more on the day....but I knew I wouldn't gain anything from it as I was tiring pretty badly by then so told Jedi it was time to stop. Frustrating to be limited by your own tiredness as the man is a genius and every time we go through stuff I feel like I am benefiting from it!

If you are in 'attack' position, you shouldn't really be sat down.
I run mine way further round the bars than most other people and get on just fine; I'm not about to change now because of a video
Wow, there are more and more Jedi converts. You should ride his Alpine switchbacks too. And that new trail taking place for freeriders is ace!

thats pretty interesting, mine are set very steep. think i'll give it a go just to see. moving the levers in also makes sense.
think i need to save up for a skills course.
I've never thought of altering brake leaver to lower my wrists, but it makes sense. Reset at a rad angle to try out tonight and practice braking with one finger instead of two

stilltortoise and Dale from here told me about the lowering your brake lever, so your wrists are in a better position.
I wish I'd known about it earlier having nearly had an otb moment on the switchbacks near Hagg farm on Saturday.
I also find that I can't 'one finger brake', due to having small hands. Going to ask hubby tonight to mess about with my brake levers to get my hands, wrists and arms into a better riding position.

What Jedi says is exactly the opposite. 🙂
Bring the lever UP (towards horizontal) which in turn makes your hands pivot backwards and your wrists drop.
It's very difficult to explain exactly WHY in words though. But a practical demonstration was all that it took to convince me it's the way to go. 😀
P.P - yes you are correct, that is what they were telling me.
