Not very radical, it's just a Norco Fluid 650b with 26" wheels but from another thread about changing from 26 to 650b, apparently that's quite bizarre.

The wheels and forks that came with it didn't compare well with the 140mm pike and 26" wheels that I already owned, plus I have a load of 26" tyres I like and don't want to bin so I tried an experiment.

The stock forks were 120mm and the pikes are about 10mm longer so the head angle is slightly slacker than stock. The bottom bracket is obviously lower and has ended up at the same height as a blur 4x which historically railed. As a nice bonus, the rear mud clearance is awesome

End result, it freaking shreds. I love it. I seem to have made a 26" transition scout for a fraction of the price.

Hmmm, the Hora 650/26 standard is gaining momentum.

It looks like the seat-stay bridge would be tight for a 650b, but I suppose that's right as it needed to get in before the rocker.

Neighbours fence, I take no responsibility

Yep just perspective, horrible camera phone lens. Yep you're right the 650bs were really tight in there, they wouldn't have fared well in thick gloop

The way the slats are lapped I'd say it's next doors fence

Surely slats are hoofed?

Anyway, I like that, looks fun, although I'm not a fan of the silver rear wheel. What fork was on there originally?

Came with a Rockshox XC32, so somewhat flimsier. Yeah I don't like the silver wheel but it's a stand in while I repair the one that matches the front.
