Hi, running 'exotic' caron rigid forks on a 29er, want a 'decent' front mudguard to stop all the slush and crap going in my eyes (got a crud catcher fitted to the down tube but for obvious reasons - its rubbish)

Looking on line there does not seem to be one that stands out, most seem to fall off !

Anyone got a tried and tested good'un ?
Cheers

I still use one which fits via the steerer tube, a bung goes in the hole at the bottom. I bought it from Planet X, On-one. Was a good price and does the job great as it stays with the wheel.

I assume you cant do the usual trick: ziptie some inner tube between the crown and arch (rigid fork). Get one of those moto ones or that CRUD thing that Peaty puts on his Nomad.

Topeak for me too. But put a zip tie round the bung/bolt thing to ensure it can't fall out.

Another Topeak, and another zip tie recommendation (I lost one and then your mudder is history)

SKS Shockboard for the front, absolutely superb. Not too big either.

I use a THE "sportline" front fender that screws into the steerer on my Pikes. Very very strong & doesn't break.Had it for the past 2 years no problem and faster than a crud catcher to take on and off & way better mud protection. Cheap too. I think there is a general steerer plug type adaptor that comes with them too.
