As per the title, do you prefer your amateur MTB ride videos:
A. Au natural. Graunching brakes, clunking gears, slurping forks, pinging stones, heavy breathing...expletives?
or
B. Overlaid with the editors/poster taste in muzaac?
I just went to watch some videos on Thetford Forest's Timber group website, and found 4 out of 6 videos had been ruined (for my tastes) with 'music'. Why oh why oh why? I guess flashing lights and shite obscure camera angles a la Top Gear will be the next fad?
If they can't bear to be without muzaac at least they could load a mono track on one channel only so that viewers can choose to listen to either track.
If its a quick edit I don't bother with music but if trying to make something worthwhile I'd go with music. It's part of the experience especially in the more "filmic" of mtb vids..
I do get sick of hearing the same electronic songs on every pinkbike edit though, people need to find some originality! There was some Glitch Mob track that I'm sure was used on every other edit this time last year.
