Can any of you guys recommend a pair of mtb shoes suitable for high arched feet (budget £150 but ideally less).
My current shoes from DHB fit perfect. However, I recently bought 2 pairs of the new version (1 laces, 1 straps) and they are narrower and caused my feet to go numb after an hour or so even though they felt OK when I tried them on.
I plan to to go to a bike shop to try some on but would like some recommendations first.
Thanks
What @qwerty said. I have narrow feet with high arches, and have the +++ Specialized insoles in all my shoes - cycling and jogging.
+1 green spesh insoles
Thanks for the replies.
I have custom insoles. The issue is the tightness of standard shoes,
I have found shimano dx shoes to work well for my wide feet.
For more traditional strap spd shoes I've tended to use specialized. They're quite wide although not really enough for me.
I have high arches too but not ones that cause me trouble on the bike. For me width is the limiter.
innersoles from superfeet. Ive had the custom ones and i find these far better and cheaper.

If you have wide feet, then check out some of the Lake shoes. If you have stupidly wide feet, then Lake Extra Wide are just the ticket, plenty of room in there for a custom insole. They can get rather expensive, although the lower end ones should hit your budget.
Personally I have a pair of the CX 237 Wide for road duties and am saving up for a pair of MX 237 Supercross Wide for off road...
It sounds like i have similar feet to you. Specialized shoes fit well, with added green insoles for arch support.
