Off to whiterooms in August and obvs need insurance.
But it's either not easy or eyewatering. So what am I doing wrong?

I guess it's pricey because I want to be sure. Don't care so much about insuring the bike but want to make sure if I drop it with style someone will be gentle with me and fix me up.

Dog tag was reasonable but yellow jersey seems to be twice the price, yes 4 years on but....

https://www.sportscoverdirect.com/sports-travel-insurance/

XC definition includes uplift (not purpose built jumps/park - that’s Downhill) but check the small print.

They also offer activity topup insurance if you already have annual travel to cover for cancel / curtailment.

I’ve never had to claim with them though.

Insure and go have been good for both alpine mountain biking and skiing claims.
