Anyone able to recommend a book on MTB skills, mechanics or general interest suitable for kids. Looking for something suitable for an 11 yr old to keep his interest going over winter.

There are a few on Amazon but not sure how useful or interesting they are for kids/teens.

Try the Bill Neally books from way back in the 2000s?

Not MTB specifically, but this is a good kids read https://www.walker.co.uk/9781406394733/be-amazing-an-inspiring-guide-to-being-your-own-champion/

Me and my daugter read the 3 Shred Girls books together. "Ali's Rocky Ride" was our favourite of the three (which is the 2nd book).

Off at a tangent but I really enjoy the OS Maps puzzle books and this thread made we see if they do a kids one and they do. So that's a Christmas pressie on the way for my daughter!
