I'm off to stay in a house in Bourg d'Oisans in just over a month and wondered if there are any mtb guiding companies out that way that could provide a couple of days guiding / route advice?
Places I been before like Les Arcs are about 2 hours drive away which is a bit much really
If all you are looking for is couple of days, then spend a day Alp d'Huez and a day at Les Deux Alpes; there are enough marked trails at either place to keep you busy for a day and you will not need a guide for that.
(And yes, there is a guiding company in the area, undoubtedly known to google ...)
Guide not required really. Unlike Les Arcs, the rotes marked on the free VTT map are great. The ride down to Venosc is a classic. Venosc is the best place to park for Deux Alp and it's only about 20 minutes from Bourg.
At Alp d'Huez try the top half (Pic Blanc) of the Mega, then jump onto the lower half of the Mega qualifier.
Take me back there now!

Woohoo, we'll be there a week tomorrow, with bouncy and dark side toys ๐
I'll be there in September and there are loads of well marked trails. Lots of free maps in the Tourist Information office as well.
Look for the 88 hairpins of Oulles as well on the other side of the valley.
Seen the VTT map of the area. Will be riding for a week but wondered if a couple of days guided was worth it or if anyone had any recommendations for guiding companies. If there's enough to go at, as suggested there might be, we won't bother with guiding.
