I left my bike in the garage for 7 weeks through winter (NZ) whilst I was overseas and I’ve come back to find thick mould all over the leather.
Has anyone had this before and what would your recommendations be be for cleaning it ?

Its probably just dirt and general grime thats gone mouldy. clean it with saddle soap and don't pit it away damp.
I've had mould on the underside of a Brooks saddle in the past. Just cleaned it off with a soapy dish sponge, let it dry and applied a good coat of Proofide . Prior to that I'd only ever put proofide on the saddle top.
I clean mine with a bio cleansing wipe before storing for winter. No more mould. Must kill the essence of arse that soaks in over the miles...
Any good leather cleaner/preservative, like Renapur Wax, or Mink Oil will do - clean the crap off with a moist cloth and some saddle soap, let it air dry out of direct sunlight, then use a clean sponge or cloth and rub the wax well in. Let it soak in, then another coat and buff off when dry. Do both sides as well - a lot of crap collects on the underside of a saddle!
Probably best to check your undercarriage for cross contamination as well, nobody wants spores in their gooch.
My bike leathers got mold after a winter in the garage. Wiping down with a 3:1 water: white vinegar mix cleaned it off and it hasn't come back yet.
