๐Ÿ˜€ Ace. Should be out for this. Hopefully if the weather holds it'll be all dry and fast on the top.

Binners you missed a golden opportunity to change the names on the poster. Anyone would think you were running your own business or something...

Sadly not out on Monday. Work has decreed that I must spend the night in Cockermouth. If I'm lucky I'll get a road ride in over a couple of passes.

After what seems like months of Mondays being sent to all corners of the UK by an employer bent on preventing me riding my bike, I've finally managed to keep one free. I'll be there then as a newbie, do I need L plates?

Nope.

Lights, beer money, sense of humour.

spend the night in Cockermouth.
That's not bad as boobie prizes go. I always liked the Bitter End which is a the east end of town, off the market place.

Cool. Got lights somewhere and can always rustle up a few quid for beer. Once you see me riding the bike you'll be forced to conclude that either I've got a sense of humour or I'm seriously deluded. Or both..

Looking doubtful for tonight chaps, due to circumstances involving lovely thoughtful people, who when they sign something off, (telepathically) add in the precursor...

* Until I change my mind, on a whim, at the eleventh hour, and ask you to redo it all completely, but still to the same print deadline. I bet thats exactly what you wanted to hear on a Monday morning, isn't it?

I may make it, but I'm not optimistic ๐Ÿ™

Not quite sure if this is your thing Adam, but it might help make an hour's work more enjoyable

How quickly will Mordor turn into a swamp in this rain? As an alternative we could do the more hard pack based route out towards Piethorn Reservoir.

The forecast for this evening is better actually, but here in Rochdale it is pissing down right now.

You'll be reet up there. It never gets that boggy up there. Not on Mordor side. It drains really well. Over the other side of the Edge used to be hellish, but they've put the big stone slabs down over that quagmire now, so even thats fine

I'm in. Happy with whatever route is decided to be the most appropriate. It's spent most of the afternoon pissing it down here in South Mcr, forecast isn't great either..

...and all hail the new Queen Of The Mountain on The Mordor Traverse! With all of that shouting and screaming in the car park, I thought she'd stood on a rake.
