Ok chaps n lasses
Spoke to the BMX track today and found that every Monday night is free to Christmas so we need to sort out which Monday were going.

16 Riders all pads , helmets, coaching and bike provided for £15 each for 2 hours. ( 8 to 10 pm.)
Who's in then?

This is how it's done.

Yes please!! (as an irregular MNPR attendee, if any of the more regular riders miss need a place, then I'll bail)

I organised a work trip there earlier in the year, we managed 3 broken bones in the 2 hour session. Our station manager had a word and told me not to organise it again. 😳

I’m up for that and so potentially a colleague from work. I’ll confirm ASAP.

I may not be out next Monday as my knee is “Monster Trucked” but I’ll get the money to you somehow.

Gaze, if it's going to be payment up front, (and IME, that's the right way to do it so you don't end up out of pocket when people don't show) I'll have to paypal it to you or something, as I can't guarantee being out before that night.

🙁
can't do mondays anymore
not that I was more than a MNPR (very)irregular anyway

have fun, post some action videos/injury pics

<edit> having now watched the vid I think this may be a good thing, I foresee myself flat landing between the big doubles and nose diving midway on the rythmn section.
lucky escape there.

Never made it to the MNPRs but will make a special effort for this. I registered there when there was talk a while ago but it petered out. I can do bank transfer or PP for the money.

Just trying to work out who should get my bikes when I die.

I want to come just to verify Binners' claims about being an ex-BMXer.

I never claimed I was any good. I'm the same on any bike, regardless of wheel size. Like a pissed hippo on a skateboard

You coming then? As the bikes are supplied, you've not really got the usual excuse! 😀

...and see if he turns himself into an ex-Binners?

Can they land the air ambulance in the car park?

Sorry, that was my fault.
I've got several very good, but boring, reasons why it didn't happen.

Genuine apologies.

Can’t think what will be more dangerous, the BMX or a boozer in Clayton Vale.

Think I’ll just go straight home if medical science allows.

Ok it's booked for the 24th. Just need to fill in the paperwork . If you want to pay by PayPal just send me your emails/mobile numbers which are linked to your PayPal accounts and I will then request the monies of everybody or you can give it me at the Mason arms on Monday night.

Nice one - I'm assuming it is ok for me to come?

No worries Rusty - I know how it goes sometimes. I've been claiming I might turn up to a MNPR for months!

This is a spectacularly bad idea, can any of us actually jump?

Nope. Just watched that video - I'm absolutely terrified. You know how things normally look worse in real life too....

Do we need to fill in paperwork in advance like at the velodrome?

I believe so yeah.

There is a pre-registration form to fill in, and you don't need to jump, pump is effective, (and hard work).

I'll send my details later Grum. Ta.

Trust me, those jumps are MUCH bigger in real life than they look on video.

This is a spectacularly bad idea, can any of us actually jump?

If anyone actually manages to jump anything I'll buy them a pint 🙂

edit: I'll bring money next week BTW. A mate of mine might be up for it if it's not too late.

As a possible MNPR attendee, nee lurker, this looks like to much of a risk to initiate a big introduction.
I had toyed with taking my kids to a taster session but I now think this could be a good night to take them along to spectate.
One word.... Carnage.

Hey gaze, if there's any spaces left I'm definitely up for this. I'm already registered so you'd just need to give my name and address (I'm not very good, don't worry). Email me at mintimperial at gmail dot com and we can sort payment and details and whatnot. Cheers! 🙂

Just thinking about this.... Are we not going to get struck down by the god of karma for not getting coated in shit on some desolate northern moorland, getting lost, 3 punctured and a smashed rear mech, having someone's lights die, and eventually staggering to the pub like a bunch of bewildered refugees?

It just doesn't seem right?

Well I'll be in Manc anyway at work so I'll go straight from there, but a lift back would be good if there's space. It also means I won't have to worry about driving/riding home after I break something 🙂
