Hopefully it'll be a bit too early for the midges. They're not out round our way yet.

I might drag the fatty out.

I'll send him a text now. I'm sure he'll be up for it as he only lives down the road...

Dunno yet. I'm away for 3 days from Tuesday so depends if the Mrs kicks up a fuss. She never has in the past though so I'll probably be there. What route is it? Anything technical? None of my bikes currently have 2 working brakes, so as long as I don't need them it'll be ok.

Your bike is broken? Really?

Not broken per se, just slightly malfunctioning. As long as I don't have to use my back brake, all will be fine.

Being able to stop is overrated.

No back brake, then the Fairy Battery descent is a must.

I seem to have come down with a case of "comedy guts". If I'm not there by 8:15 don't wait.

Have your guts stopped laughing at you then?

I'm not playing out now 🙁 Just had an illustration job land that needs sorting ASAP, and I've just realised I've still not replaced the chain I snapped, and bodged back together last week

Has the weather forecast changed or something? I'm still 50-50*. I haven't got a clue about the route anyway so I won't be much use. I'm sure one of the Bolton lot will know where to go.

*If I'm not there don't wait as it will mean I've been moaned at.

This is me we're talking about. Of course I don't know the bloody route. It's a genuine surprise to me that I make my way into work most days..

Just pretend I'm there, and leading. Everyone just ignores me anyway and heads off wherever they fancy, with me occasionally shouting things from half a mile behind. It works on most Rammy rides.

Seriously, if we don't know where we are going there is not a lot of point in turning up.

2 hours back for 10 at the bar.

distance is normally factored by faffage time. More faffage less mileage
