I'll probably be there but I'm not going to the top, no matter what Daz says.

I've not ridden a mountain bike since Enduro2, i'm not even sure if the bars are on straight after coming out of the bike bag.

When i put it like that i'm probably in the MNPR form of my life

I am a possible which, as we all know, is more probable than a Binners definite

My 2p worth. I'd like to go to the top. Don't we turn round normally after we've done the bulk of the climbing anyway?

I still haven't washed my mountain bikes since Mountain Mayhem.

Maybe we can have a summit-fever splinter group?

I'd be up for that. A quick check of the map would suggest another 170m of climbing and 4km from the usual turn back point.

I will be back on Monday after a multitude of excuses for not being out.
It will be my intention to reach the top, as long as I have not required medical attention beforehand.

Dunc has already been sighted out on his bike in Hebden, despite his comedy Tom and Jerry thumb

I'll be out assuming my mountain bike still works. I might even go a bit early and do the descent through the woods before you lot arrive.

I think we should make a Summit Attempt. The weather is perfect and the view from the top will be stunning.

Take some Gitanes, a hip flask of absinthe, a deck chair and a book of poetry to enjoy while you wait for me to get there. I'vebeen out on the bike once in the last month.

just warning you in advance

Summit Attempt

Attempt?

If everyone sticks a bottle of beer in their pack we could do the pint at the top. The pub will probably be shut anyway.

Works for me.

I'm sure you could use it to coax binners up too

Have you seen the episode of Father Ted where they tie a bottle of whiskey on a stick to Father Jacks wheelchair....

well if we could recreate that with a can of Stella, I reckon I may make it to the summit 🙂

Enjoyed that even with writing of my rear mech and then burping my tyre of the rim.

43.75 mph with no chain....

we got held up by a truck on there

Good to see you all and finally ticked it off the to do list

Its an interesting climb and might have a bash at cleaning that one day but a few technical bits might be beyond me

And my camelback was in the car after all just hidden behind my seat 😳

Enjoyed that. The climb was a slog, but JY kindly kept me company, and the descent was eventful. Unsurprisingly I was slower downhill than Dunc even though he had no chain or rear mech 🙂

What a night for it though. Beautiful! Such a pleasure being up in'thills on evenings like that. Got a few good shots. This one is the pick of the bunch
