Downpours and thunder made for an atmospheric ride above and round Derwent - saw quite a few out, anyone from here?

A few of us had a ride around Macc forest and 3 Shire's Head today. We didn't see a drop of rain on the ride and the trails were in fab condition.
I guess we got lucky.

Still pouring down as we walked home from the pub - don't envy anyone camping in this lot.

Rode stanage today. Trails were in good nick and we stayed dry. Torrential on the drive home though.

The trails around Hayfield will have been trashed by the rain, several houses flooded and a big river down the track past the grouse at Birch Vale.
