[Closed] Modify spring tension on Shimano Shadow rear mech

Has anyone tried modifying the cage spring tension on Shimano Shadow (i.e. NOT Shadow+) rear mechs as per this page (or even by adding an extra hole for even more tension?):-

And then successfully used them in a 1x10 set up?
