Maybe it's an age thing (36) but I tend to zone out those kind of adverts..
I guess it could make sales for young'uns but I immediately, and subconsciously think, all style, no substance if there's fit women and no technical information or reference on an advert.
I'd sooner buy something sold as 'mucky John's marine lube, he's been using it on his schooner props since the 50's' than 'sex wax, all the young studs use it'..
I guess the marketing guys (sorry, mixed sex marketing teams) target specific demographics depending on where they think most of the business is.
Scantily clad womens just makes me think 'we repackaged this generic product with kool packaging and are charging double for it'.
