Belated Merry New Year etc!

Eagle and Child,
Higher Lane,
Whitefield.
M45 7EY (Parking over the road on Edgerton Road, or further up Higher Lane)

8:15 Blast off
Bring money for a beer, although you won’t need much because it is a Joey Holts pub.

We’ll do some cocking about in Philips and in the surrounding woods. Hopefully it won’t be too much of a swamp.

I’m in. Not christened my new drive chain set up yet, due to the moors up here resembling the Somme.

I’ll have my people call your people regarding pre-ordering espresso martini’s and canapés for when we get back to the eagle and child

Excellent. The smashed avocado on sour dough is “to die for” dahling, but you'll have to fight the ladys' darts team for it.

I’ll be riding the freshly rebuilt Trigger which, prior to Christmas, Cooksons expertly diagnosed as being “shagged”.

Do they punch at or above their weight?

Too terrified to find out.

So, who is playing out tonight?

Good ride chaps and surprisingly mud free!

However, after six weeks off the bike my arse is letting me know about it this morning 🙁

I'll second that. Great route. Already threatened to take the missus for a walk there, though in truth I wouldn't have a clue where I was, or where I was going. Which pretty much fits under the heading of 'normal service' now I come to think of it

All back home safely or was Binners left for the darts team as an offering?

Does anyone have a gpx for the route?

I’m local but don’t have any lights atm so couldn’t make it.

Thanks!
