I'm about to build up a second hand Cotic Solaris - using as much as possible from my existing Mk2 Solaris in a bit to keep the costs down.
I'm using Xt 1x11 on the old - and thinking of bringing across the 27.5+ wheelset, using a boost adaptor to make it 148 compatible. It's a pro 4 with a Shimano freehub.
I was also going to add a second set of 29 wheels - but thinking of getting a XD freehub so that if at some point I want to go 1x12, I am covered. in the meanwhile I plan to use an 11 speed SRAM cassette.
Would there be any issue in combining the SRAM cassette (with a 10 tooth cog) with the rest of the drivetrain being Shimano?
I use an XT drivetrain with a GX 11 speed 10-42 cassette. No issues whatsoever.
Been doing that for years (not the 10t obvs), you should be fine.
