Told via chat dispatch would be around three weeks. Upon ordering I see that our days calendar week 24.
Received an email yesterday informing my the bike will be built and dispatched in calendar week 26...

That's almost two months since ordering. To say I'm peeved is a bit of an understatement.

I'm hit off an email detailing the above and will wait and see what their response is. However, in the mean time I'm seriously considering cancelling the order.

What other Ti gravel bike alternatives are there?

I ordered something from somewhere last week, it said dispatched in 10 days, it turned up in 2 days.

This probably doesn't help and is as vague as your post.

Alternatives to what? Can't suggest something if we don't know what you've discounted.

Personally, I'd be looking at an Albannach Torragar if I was ordering another.

🤔 hmm, I wonder if there’s been anything thats happened in the intervening period which might explain a delay...🤷🏻‍♀️

Calendar week 24 and 26 are only 2 weeks apart, not months. If it is a small place then they'll be doing what they can and may have a higher value order needing completed sooner...100 frames will bring more money than 1 frame.

If you really want it, you'll wait. If you aren't prepared to wait then why waste money on something you don't really want?

🤔

Sorry for being vague. Don't want to throw my toys out and name and shame before they've been given a chance to find a solution.

Obviously things are different right now, but I wouldn't have ordered had I known I would be waiting nigh on two months rather than three weeks. I feel that info should have been up in their site rather than being informed on a rather nonchalant way after ordering.

It's only gone out another 2 weeks, hardly something to be ashamed about.

It is a Ribble CGR though, yeah? That might help folk suggest options, like they did in your previous thread.

From casual reading of Cotics social media I see that they have increased delivery times due to maintaining social distancing within the workplace and only having one mechanic on site as a result.

I’d suspect something similar has happened and should you reorder from someone else (unless they’re already a one man band) that longer delivery times than normal is the likelihood....

THE WORLD IS SUFFERING AT THE HANDS OF A PLAGUE.

Come on for heavens`sake no company can operate properly. I understand youre likely impatient due to being stuck in, but its not their fault, and I expect that are doing all they can and the staff coming in as best they can.

So suck it up and go find something else to do in the meantime.

Casual reading my arse. I know for a fact you have alarms set on all your devices to catch anything he posts.

Everyone is super busy I think so lead times are harder to manage than normal. That said, rather than reduce our output by having less staff we simply increased our operational hours, so its now 7 days a week operational up to 16 hours a day depending how busy we are. Not rocket science. Lets be honest there's not much of anything else to do and having odd shifts helps with child care etc. as you can work when they're asleep.

But anyway to the point of the original post for clarity he's told 3 weeks, then given a date thats 5+ weeks (We don't know the start point) and then shortly after that gets bumped. So the slippage is real and at least 4 weeks we the reader know of.

I have nothing to add on the subject of what to get instead though, just thought you were all being a bit harsh 🙂

Best just waiting and getting the bike you want over a week or two.

Even outside of global pandemic it’s pretty normal on exotic builds to face delays, especially if they are waiting on bits stuck in container ship, builder calls in sick, something goes crack during build etc.
