While sitting on the tube this lunchtime after a trip to a dull stationery supplier in EC1, I thought I'd like to go and ride The Gap this weekend.

Start from Talybont reserviour. Its called the gap because it goes over a gap in the hills.
Am I Friday sleepy or is it actually next to a hill called Fan Y Big?
And which is the way to ride it? N to S? Or S to N?
S to N.
It is possible the other way round, but the climb is harder and a push and the top and the descent is slower and less fun.
Cakefest five of us riding it Sunday at 10am starting from back of White Hart Inn at Talybont on Usk if your going up.
Heres a pic from Pen-y-fan looking down toward MT - we didn't see any other MTBers that day in June although the trails were covered in tyre prints.

Best descent is going S to N but coming back up again from the north its a good climb if you like that sort of thing.
