Gonna be a fast descent now! Cancellara, Sagan in a chasing group.

Stannard is a beast, but good to see Ciolek back to his winning ways, and great for a small team to win MSR!

What an awesome day! The weather was insane busded over the Turchino pass due to horrifoc weather so many didn't get back out of the buses to ride! Shame Geraint crashed but I was scrraming for Stannard!

Cracking racing, so good that Munqe-chick appears to have had a stroke! Stannard never really had a chance, but it was a great and brave effort; he was always going to get beaten, even if only him and Chavanel had stayed away.

I think the events of the day helped Ciolek to the win; a more controlled finish would have seen Sagan and possibly Cav and Greipel delivered to do their respective stuff, but a well taken win by all accounts.

Very interesting to see the choice of wet weather clothing; a lot of disguised Castelli jackets worn by non Castelli sponsored teams, which is a pretty good recommendation...

But strangely short sleeved Castelli coats with "nanoflex" arm warmers!
