Purchased a set recently from CRC, having difficulties getting the ring onto the crank doesn't seem to fit correctly so can't get the thread to engage with the lock ring. Is this normal?

Use a few UNO rings. The last hardcore one needed a little help with the hammer and a nice flat surface to get it on. But should not be crazy tight

I had exactly this. sent it back to middleburn, they supplied a new ring and fitted it, and supplied a FOC lock ring (forgot to order one from CRC)
turn around was two days

Great, thanks might try the gentle persuasion method first then if that fails contact middleburn!
