I bought a frame with a set of Middleburn RS8 X-type cranks, they are like new, but I cannot get them off.
I have removed the self extracting bolt and undone the tensioning collar, but I cannot get the right arm off of the axle. I've even tried an oldschool crank extractor, but neither have square taper style or octolink have anything to push against.
Any ideas welcome.
The self extracting bolt needs to be fitted in the RH arm, then you should just need an 8mm allen key to pull the crank off against that bolt.

Self extractor is chainring side on X-Type. They're the opposite to shimano.
Don't try to undo the allen bolt on the non-drive side! I made that mistake, they're fixed in place in the factory and do not budge. All I manage to do was chew it up a bit.
As above, 8mm allen key into the drive side, extract the drive side crank (inc chainrings and spider), then push the axle through. I don't think you can remove the non-drive side crank from the axle, any reason you want to do that?
Actually, reading again you've got all of that undone and you can't remove the drive side? How have you removed the self extracting bolt? I don't think mine comes out....
The hole is bigger than Shimano; you need a top hat to put into the crak body to give the crank extractor something to push against. You should get a propriety one, but 3 or 4 washers will do for now
