Just came back from the bootfair with a set of RST Capa forks. I KNOW theyr'e crap, I've bored everyone I know to tears about how bad cheap suspension is, but........
For £4.00, I couldn't resist them, cheap enough to mess about with Has anyone had any experience modifying cheap/old/bad forks to work "better"?

yes you just need to replace all the internals with working bits and take the weight penalty 😉
had no joy with my kids but I assume if they are just springs you can get other springs
if oil changing the weight of the oil will affect damping
I doubt you can get them to anything about mleh though
still £4 bargain
Yeah I couldn't resist at that price, I know theye are just a spring and a pipe!
They'd only be used on a singlespeed commuter, nothing too strenuous.
I'm not even sure if they're oil filled?
Just wondered if anyone used to modify basic forks in the 90's?
