Anyone doing this at the weekend?

Any locals on? What are the trail conditions likely to be?

Yep I'm going. Got Dirty Dans on at the moment, and as they're pretty light and fast I suspect I'll leave them on.

Rode Tunnel Hill at the weekend (not that far away) and it was the driest it has been for months. Rain due tomorrow morning though so that's bound to change

I will apologise now if the weather turns grime for this one as I missed the last two and the weather was great. Was thinking of running some 2.2 advantages but if it turns damp will drag out the madusas

Rode the course this morning and yes, its almost completely dry. Still plenty of time for that to change, but the forecast looks fairly promising.

I'm doing the 4hr as usual, see you there!

P.S. kennio - the bit in your pic isn't in the race this year!

I'm hoping to go if I can get hold of a chain ring for my X0 chainset.. Not looking at all promising! Don't really fancy spending £250 on a new chainset cos sram are so crap at after market parts. maybe i'll move to a XT chainset instead..

Either way it'll be a good race! In the 4hr racing for PMR@cing

Rode around Tunnel Hill and Porridge Pot at the weekend - awesome riding. Entered for Sunday, watching forecast with baited breath......

We were up there for a night ride on Tuesday, look like some really nice new trails have been created for it. Ground conditions were excellent with very little mud about, a bit slippery on wet roots (rocket rons on) but that was mainly because it was freezing.

Raining at the moment but not due to be much so I hope the trails will still be good on Sunday.

Am not racing but hope to take the kids and camera to watch the action 🙂
