Decided to order a nukeproof mega but the unkown of rs forks and avids are putting me off pressing the buy button on the pro. Reson being I've only had fox 140 with lock out and formula brakes, both fantastic.
Is it possible to build one as well speced as the mega pro for similar cost?
Built £2500
Frame £650
I want to stick with 1 x 10 and the reverb but I'd like your opinions on the rest of the build and where to buy.

I think that's the same build as I've been looking at, but Im trying to work out weather I can build one for that price with forks that lock out and at least as highly speced

It does seem like a cracking deal.

Why would you want a fork with lockout on a mega?

To pedal back up, not sure that it needs it but it's what I've become used to.

i built mine up for a lot less

I got my groupset from here

http://www.actionsports.de/gb/Components/Groupsets/Shimano-XT-785-Groupset-2x10-speed-silver::39839.html

reverb from germany as well

frok choice as far as value for money goes is cool.
The 1.5" means you should get a bargain.

part of the fun for me is building it.
Where abouts are you your welcome to come and try mine on if you unsure on the size

i am just a bit over 6ft and i have a large.

i am going to be 100 percent honest when sat down in pedaly single track the cockpit is short. I think this is due to the steep seat tube.

When out the saddle pushing on it makes alot more sense, in fact its a beast.

Am 6ft and was torn btwn a med and large for a while, after much deliberation bought a medium and really glad i didnt get the bigger one. Got 1.5 steerer coil lyric on there and its spot on, at climbing too. I built my own cos i already had the forks but at the price of the pro above I'd question building up urself unless you really want to spec the components and build urself.
