Got an xt rear mech. When I go from big dog to the smaller cogs I'm losing chain tension and the mech isn't going to correct position. Ant way to fix it or is it new mech?

If it works like it should with the clutch off, try greasing the clutch. If that fails, probably new mech time.

As above test with clutch off. You can replace the clutch, it's not especially expensive.

Cheers gents. But it looks goosed. Luckily they're not too expensive at CRC.

As above, can usually be solved with a strip, clean and regrease. Alternatively, there's an oil port on the bottom of the clutch housing, squirt some GT85 in there and see if that will bring it back to life.

I'll give that a try, cheers. Might get me some more miles out of it.
