Can these tyres be used with standard rims and tubes rather than tubeless rims?
Can rimstrips be added later to standard rims to make a tubeless setup with these tyres?
Life was much simpler back in my day - grumble, mutter, moan.

Yep and Yep.
I just wrap a few layers of electrical tape around the rim to seal up the valve holes and use them tubeless with sealant.
I also do this with non-tubeless Minions on a non-tubelss rim, and it works perfectly tubeless 🙂

afaik every tyre* works with normal rims and tubes.
*excluding tubs obviously
