just seen a good deal on the double defence 3C maxxis tomahawk at 1.005 kg it’s no xc tyres but guess it’d be ok for rocky descents and peaks and Pennines style riding in winter and plenty of mud clearance

any one used one

Had one on the back for a while and used on rocky stuff on The Malverns.

Was really good in everything except really boggy conditions. Fast, decent grip and tough.

hell bells that is a steal. . It's a more useable, all arounder than say a minion SS, but still carries more speed than a anhr2 or dhr . not bad at all, but realitically useful for about 2 weeks a year!

Sold out, or pulled as a missprice I’d assume, hoping my order gets shipped

Really liked mine last year. Probably too late now but take a look at my review on my blog if interested 🙂

Wish I'd seen that CRC deal sooner as I would definitely buy another!

@andy10011 same with any potential missprice online, try and get your order shipped before telling the world your dirty little secret ;0)

real time stock systems should highlight potential problems if Everyman and there dog are ordering the same item, and thus orders get cancelled

Not necessarily a misprice, they're pretty much ignored. Mine isn't bad at all but I have a dhr2 and a rock razor and it just falls awkwardly between the two and doesn't really shine.

@northwind my guess is they got the 27.5 tyres in and just added them to the historic 26” page, which had been end of line pricing and sold out, I had a quick look on maxxis’s website and they are £70 “Our newest tyre, designed for the all-mountain and enduro rider” so took a punt

Haha no, don't like paying fees for selling my own stuff. sold mine privately on Facebook for 35 each, bought 4 so made a healthy profit. Thank you chain reactions
