Need some dual ply super tacky F&R for a few DH uplifts days prior to a one week holiday in the Alps in July so...would you buy good used ones or bite the bullet and get new? Are they likely to get more or less expensive (or no change) as we get closer to the time when shops know they'll be more in demand ie June onwards?

Next day tyres are pretty much still the cheapest.
If you can get some good second hand ones then go for it, otherwise go new

pink bike, ebay. If you can find someone local you can collect them and get them cheap.

Sold a load of 26" tyres for between £10-15 recently. Mostly excellent condition.

The joy of owning 26 (or the lack of joy of 650b)

I'd not plan on bringing ST's home from a week of hard riding in the Alps.. I went with 60a's last time, not a massively noticeable difference 90% of the time
