I have some 29'' WTB rims that are 17mm wide and currently have cross tyres on.
I plan on using the rims with wider tyres but really need to know maximum with?
Any idea?

That is reassuring to hear - do you find you can still run a fairly low pressure without too much "slop"?

I run just above 30 psi according to my pump gauge but I guess its not as accurate as it could be and i don't have any problems
